Step back in time in The Jacob Metcalf House in the Arnold Mills Historic District. This four-bay, two-story, flank-gable structure was home of Jacob Metcalf (1818-1867), a son of Ebenezer Metcalf, Jr. in the mid-nineteenth century. This home circa 1780 is listed in the National Registry of Historic Homes, but it is not part of the local historic district. The property has lots of charm and history, but a new owner has the freedom of making updated changes to the exterior, additions or new builds without local historic oversight. The kitchen was completely updated in 2008 with new cabinets, granite counters, double sink, dishwasher and gas stove by propane. The 4-bed septic system was installed in 1984. Also included is a beautiful half acre treed, corner lot on North Attleboro Road. This truly is a gem of a property to be cherished for years to come.
